shrink sleeves, the new Smooth Diversion Inspection/Ejection Systems from PDC International Corporation are built to gently divert
products off conveyors without damage, and insure the integrity of packaged items reaching the end of production lines.
PDC Smooth Diversion Inspection/Ejection Systems utilize either visible or ultraviolet (UV) light spectrum sensors to confirm the correct
location of bands or sleeves. Once identified, improperly wrapped packages are gently diverted onto a variable speed rotary table
without disrupting the line's operation. Inspection is typically performed prior to shrinking to best determine the band's position
on the package.
With their gentle touch, PDC Smooth Diversion Inspection/Ejection Systems are ideal for high-speed packaging
applications often found in the beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. The newly designed diverter unit keeps ejected
products upright in comparison to pneumatic cylinder type ejection units, which may result in damaged bottles or breakage.
The new Smooth Diversion Inspection/Ejection Systems are available for production line speeds up to 700 bottles per minute and come
with an Automatic Machine Stop (AMS) feature that will pause the packaging apparatus after a pre-set number of sequential ejects.
Operators can then correct any necessary machine adjustments, minimizing downtime.
