Inspection Systems
Shrink Band and Label Placement Verification

These Systems inspect for the presence and position of shrink bands and labels prior to shrinking, using either the ultraviolet (UV) or visible light spectrums. These systems are stand alone units that are used in tandem with PDC shrink sleeve application machinery and can be added to existing production lines.

Inspection/Ejection Units
Model BDE-100 Detects the presence and position of bands on containers with standard caps (plastic, metal or child-resistant).
Model BDE-101 Detects the presence and position of bands on cups and tubs (dairy, margarine, etc.), which require pre-shrinking of the band to insure correct band location.
Model BDE-200-UV Detects the presence and position of bands on containers by sensing the luminescence (UV) in the banding material.
Model CDE Ejects containers without caps, with improperly placed caps and fallen containers, before the banding or sleeving machine.

Optional Sensors - available on PDC shrink sleeve aplication machinery
MCS Sensor Missing Cap Sensor - Inhibits placement of band if there is no cap on container (ER models only).
FCS Sensor Fallen Container Sensor - Detects fallen containers at the machine infeed; stops the machine and sounds audible alarm.
AMS Sensor Automatic Machine Stop - Stops the application machine after a pre-programmed number of containers are ejected in sequence (available only as an option for application machines with BDE units).
